Formal and Vocational Training

Having observed quite a significant number of young persons loitering around unfinished buildings at the Apo Metropolis in Abuja, the Foundation created a platform to profitably engage and provide vocational support to dissuade them from resorting to petty crimes. By training them vocationally as Solar Panel installers, Phone and Cable technicians, tailors and barbers, the requisite tools are also provided to create independent employment no longer needful of charity. This assures their self-employment and sustenance. The idea is to make this a self-growing programme, whereby established beneficiaries can in turn mentor and support new entrants.

Widows, single mothers and uneducated women also benefit from vocational training through access to funds and grants to establish businesses including, but not limited to, soap-making, sewing, hair braiding, catering and perfumery.
